The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is
India's premier nuclear research facility based in Trombay, Mumbai. BARC is a
multi-disciplinary research centre with extensive infrastructure for advanced
research and development covering the entire spectrum of nuclear science,
engineering and related areas.BARC's core mandate is to sustain peaceful
applications of nuclear energy, primarily for power generation.Its other
research focus areas are applications for isotopes in industries, medicine,
agriculture, etc. BARC operates a number of research reactors across the
country.
Candidate Profile:
For Engineering Graduates:
1. Candidates should possess B.E/B.Tech/
B.Sc(Engg)/5 year Integrated M.Tech in (Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical,
Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Instrumentation, Engineering Physics
and Food Technology)degree from a recognised university.
2. Should have a minimum of 60% aggregate is essential.
3. Candidates opting to be considered on the basis of a GATE score must have a valid GATE-2013 or GATE-2014 score in the same engineering discipline as the qualifying degree discipline.
4. Candidates Age limit should be 26 Years for GEN Category, 29 Years for OBC and 31 Years for SC/ST Category.
